Days follow the terminals' clock. "Who is in" reads each person's last punch today: a check-in state means present. Units without state keys report every punch as a check-in, so for them punches alternate: first in, second out, third in.

Organisations

the client organisations on this server, each walled off from the others
OrganisationBranchesTerminalsPeopleAccounts

Pick an organisation at the top left to work inside it: its people, terminals, attendance, accounts and settings. A terminal nobody has seen before waits here until it is let into an organisation; one added by serial on the Terminals page belongs to the organisation shown at the time.

Webhooks

every event, pushed to your systems as it happens
NameReceivesLast deliveryQueueStatus

Each delivery is a JSON POST of the event with headers X-ADMS-Event, X-ADMS-Delivery, X-ADMS-Timestamp and X-ADMS-Signature, an HMAC-SHA256 of "timestamp.body" with the webhook's secret. Anything but a 2xx is retried after 1 min, 5 min, 30 min, 2 h and 12 h, then parked as dead until you replay it.

New terminals

for the whole server
Ask before letting a new terminal inA terminal this server has never seen waits on the Terminals page until someone accepts it. Nothing it sends is stored while it waits, and it keeps its records until then. Switched off, anything that connects is accepted.

Warnings

shown on the Overview page and sent to webhooks
Terminal out of contactWarn when a terminal has not reached the server for this long.
minutes
Record memory nearly fullWarn when a terminal's attendance memory is this full. A full terminal stops recording punches.

Time periods

when a person may punch; the terminal itself refuses a punch outside them
The hours are sent to the terminals for you. Saving a period sends its hours to every terminal on current firmware, under the same number. The last column says where they are in force. Older terminals cannot limit by time. Period 1 is "all day" on a terminal as shipped.

Repeat punchesA second punch by the same person on the same terminal, with the same in or out state, within this long is marked as a repeat and left out of reports. It is still stored and can be shown. 0 switches this off.

Backups

taken per terminal; restore one from the terminal's menu
Nightly backups to keepEach terminal's people and credentials are saved once a night when something has changed. 0 switches this off.

Firmware files

sent to a terminal from its menu on the Terminals page
Use only a file from ZKTeco made for that exact model. A wrong or damaged file can leave a terminal unusable until it is serviced. Upgrading from the server has not yet been proven on a real terminal here: try it first on one you can spare.

API access from other websites

address limits for each token are set on the Access page
Sites allowed to call the API from a browserOne origin per line, such as https://hr.example.com. Leave empty to allow none. A single * allows any site. Server-to-server calls are not affected by this list.

Clear this organisation's data

for starting over, or when a trial is finished
This cannot be undone. Nothing of any other organisation is touched. People are taken off the terminals first unless the terminals go too.
